Why Pro Bono?

Pro bono is a great opportunity to give back to the community! We have a wide variety of case specializations needed to help our disadvantaged communities.

- Pro Bono Publico -

Latin for “for the public good”

Acadiana Legal Service Corporation is here for the public good. We are looking for volunteers to help us continue to fight for equal justice for all. At ALSC, we choose every day to promote justice and aid in the accessibility of legal assistance and one way we do that is through partnering with volunteers throughout our legal communities.

Perks of Pro Bono

Career development and trial experience
Free continuing education credits (up to 3 per year)
Co-counsel with ALSC on cases as needed
Awards given based on number of cases and hours volunteered.
Make a difference and giving back to your community

Available Cases

We have partnered with local pro bono programs in Shreveport, Alexandria, Lake Charles and Lafayette to open a door for local attorneys to volunteer to provide legal assistance to those in need. ALSC screens all cases to ensure they are financially eligible for free assistance. We need your help with family law cases, estate planning and successions, and expungements.
