Providing A Future
Sam’s STORY
After being incarcerated and falling behind on child support, Sam was unable to see his daughter. When she reached out to reconnect, Sam, now a full-time student, worked to create a stable environment and sought help from ALSC to request visitation rights. With ALSC’s support, he was granted consistent visits, which eventually led to joint custody. Sam’s story demonstrates that even in challenging times, hope can flourish through commitment and stability.

Online Resources
Acadiana Legal Service Corporation partners with many resources across Louisiana to provide you with the most current legal education available. We offer a wide range of topics to help you find the legal information you need. Browse our brochures and connect with our partners for more legal topics to help you understand if you have a civil legal issue and whether you want to pursue legal action as a self-represented litigant (SRL) or hire an attorney. All legal resources, including articles and court forms, available on our website can help you better understand and advocate for your rights. However, these resources should not replace legal advice from qualified attorneys licensed in Louisiana who are familiar with your specific legal issue. Always seek legal advice directly from a lawyer.
